The driving force behind the ACP project is the Imacom group. Founded in 1989, the Imacom group currently comprises two news agencies : DPPI Press (photos, sports coverage) and Alamo (exclusive features).

International recognition

Imacom has been on the photojournalism scene since 1965 thanks to DPPI and enjoys an excellent reputation in the field of journalistic content (photos, editorial features, etc.). With a catalogue of over 12 million photos and illustrations in the sport and celebrity sectors, Imacom has clients all over the world.  Renowned for its cutting-edge technology, Imacom also provides the sort of specialised photo retouching, multimedia design and corporate communication services which are required in today’s market.

The Imacom group firmly believes in the future of journalists and journalism. So, backed up by its four complementary specialised agencies, it decided in September 2009 to re-launch the internationally-known ACP brand by creating an entirely new generation news agency equipped with its own dedicated online editorial platform.

Believing in the future of journalism

Very few investors accept to invest in the media sector today.Yet Christian Ciganer-Albeniz of the Compagnie Financière de Constance, Imacom’s main shareholder, doesn’t hesitate when it comes to accompanying – or even launching – innovative projects which contribute towards guaranteeing the future of journalism.

All the members of the Imacom team are firm believers in the democratic values of the journalism profession, with all its methodological and ethical constraints. Convinced that, if the profession of journalist is to survive the current crisis in the print media industry, they have invented ACP, an entirely new form of news agency designed for the digital era, with an online editorial platform providing a unique link between journalists and media companies.
